Sheath end sensor

The end-of-sheath sensor system is fitted to the sheath reels and detects the end of the sheath reel. This equipment transmits the information to the spinning machine, enabling it to stop the spinning operation. In conventional operation, wiring involving the end of the sheath causes inaccuracy in length, making the sheath unusable.

In order tooptimise plastic and copper consumption, the detection system detects the end of the sheath and authorises or refuses to allow wiring, depending on the remaining length. In material equivalent, for each reel of sheath, the saving is one spun sheath.
